Volunteering in several environmental NGOs, Marifi Nitor has seen firsthand the need for green solutions in her motherland. She has an AB in Economics, an MA for Public Administration and an MS for Rural Development. She continuously adds to her knowledge through a series of courses under the Learning for Nature program of the UNDP and applies every ounce of knowledge to the numerous local NGOs she’s been assisting in the Philippines. With a focus on implementing internationally funded development projects for more than 20 years, Marifi has also gained an array of experience as a grant writer and consultant for a number of foreign-based NGOs. She is an advocate for empowering underserved communities and a consummate humanitarian, always finding creative ways to provide effective consulting for local and international NGOs and minority-owned foreign-based businesses.
